An easy way to dress up fruit salad. I've also made fruit kabobs this way, which is pretty to take to parties. I get whatever fruit is in season & on sale! :) This dressing makes more than you need for the salad, but I love it & use it on sandwiches, greens, etc.

Ingredients For poppyseed fruit salad

  • 8
    cups fresh fruit (approximately)
  • 1/3
    cup white sugar
  • 1/2
cup vinegar (white wine, apple cider or raspberry)
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    canola oil
  • 1 tsp
    onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    (heaping) poppyseeds

How To Make poppyseed fruit salad

  • 1
Blend the sugar, vinegar, salt & onion. Slowly pour in the oil & blend together. Then add the poppyseeds.
  • 2
Slowly pour over the fruit, stirring gently, until you have the amount of dressing you want. I usually use less than half of the dressing, as it gives it a lovely zing, but not overpowering the natural fruit flavors.
