Mom used jello in salads quite often. This salad is really good!

Ingredients For pineapple salad, mom's

  • 6 oz
    lemon jello
  • 4
    bananas
  • 4 c
    boiling water
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    mini marshmallows
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 can
    crushed pineapple, drained well
  • 2
    eggs, beaten well
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 c
    pineapple juice
  • 1 c
    cool whip

How To Make pineapple salad, mom's

  • 1
    Mix jello and boiling water and allow to cool slightly before adding marshmallows, slices of bananas and pineapple. Let set. Bring sugar, butter, eggs, flour and pineapple juice to a boil until thick. Let cool, add cool whip to it and spread on top of the jello before serving.
