Ingredients For pineapple-orange congealed salad

  • 1 can
    (15 1/4 ) can crushed pineapple(undrained)
  • 1 pkg
    (6 oz) package orange jello
  • 2 c
    buttermilk
  • 1 c
    coconut
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1
    (12 oz.) carton whipped cream, thawed. (i use cool whip)
  • (optional) (a few cherries for decorations on top)

How To Make pineapple-orange congealed salad

  • 1
    Place pineapple in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove form heat. Add gelatin, stirring until dissolved. Stir in buttermilk, coconut and pecans. Cool. Fold in topping. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish. Chill until firm.
