pineapple-lime molded salad

This is a holiday favorite in the Johnston household. My husband grew up having this for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I usually do it for Easter. As for most of my recipes, this one comes from my late mother-in-law's recipe box.

Ingredients For pineapple-lime molded salad

    lg. box lime jello
  • 1
    lg. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1
    20 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 1
    12 oz. pkg. cool whip

How To Make pineapple-lime molded salad

  • 1
    Measure pineapple juice and enough liquid to make 1 1/2 cups, bring to boil & dissolve jello into it. Cool til syrupy & fold into cheese & pineapple which has been mixed together. Fold in cool whip. Chill. Garnish with nuts & maraschino cherries ( dates may be added).
