Ingredients For pear and gorgonzola salad

  • 4 c
    leafy green and red lettuces ( baby mixed greens work well)
  • 1
    red anjou pear
  • 1/4
    c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 c
    cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 1/4 c
    sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1
    scallion chopped
  • pinch red pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 c
    crumbled gorgonzola

How To Make pear and gorgonzola salad

    Make dressing ahead of time using ingredients from cider vinegar. Shake in a jar. keep in fridge. you can even make it the day before. It's better that way.

    Just before serving. Mix greens and sliced pears with dressing and top with walnuts. Serve immediately. you will not need all the dressing but it keeps for several days..
