This is a very old recipe from 1937, Mrs. Hattie Bell Jackson made this for the community in rural Tennessee. We continue her tradition.

Ingredients For hattie bell's cranberry relish

  • 1 lb
    whole cranberries
  • 2
    apples
  • 2
    oranges
  • 1 c
    pecans
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 box
    cherry jello 3 oz.
  • 1 box
    raspberry jello 3 oz.
  • 3 c
    boiling water

How To Make hattie bell's cranberry relish

  • 1
    Use food grinder and grind cranberries, apples, oranges (seeds removed) but keep rind and peel and pecans.

    Add sugar to taste.
  • 3
    dissolve 2 small boxes jello with 3 cups boiling water. Stir until dissolved.
  • 4
    when jello is cool, add ground items.
