Ingredients For fluffy fruit salad

  • 20 oz
    can unsweetened pineapple chunks drained reserving 1 cup juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 md
    egg beaten
  • 1 Tbsp
    white vinegar
  • 1
    pear peeled and cubed
  • 1 c
    strawberries sliced
  • 2
    bananas peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 8 oz
    cool whip

How To Make fluffy fruit salad

  • 1
    Place the 1 cup of pineapple juice in a saucepan. If you don't have 1 cup add water to make 1 cup.

    Add the sugar, flour and salt. Cook and sitr over med heat until bubbly. Reduce heat and cook 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat and stir a small amount of sauce into the egg. Add the egg mixture to the pan stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vinegar and let cool to room temp.

    MIx the pineapple chunks, pears, strawberries, and bananas together. Mix the cool whip with the sauce.

    Add the pecans and the cool whip and mix well. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
