This recipe is great for covered dish occasions. everyone loves it! You really need a stand mixer because you have to beat it a long time.

Ingredients For banana split dessert

2 cgraham crackers, crushed

1 stickmargarine

2 1/2 cpowdered sugar

2eggs

1 tspvanilla

1 canpineapple, crushed, drained

113 oz container cool whip
-
4bananas
-
maraschino cherries
-
walnuts, chopped
How To Make banana split dessert

1Combine cracker crumbs with 1 stick melted margarine and spread in bottom of 13 x 9 pan.

2Beat powdered sugar, 2 sticks margarine, eggs and vanilla for 20 minutes, then spread over cracker crust.

3Put drained pineapple on top of sugar mixture, then sliced bananas on top of that. Top with Cool Whip, cherries and walnuts.

4Refrigerate for 4 hours. I always keep caramel and chocolate ice cream toppings on the side when I serve this.
