I had a salad similar to this in the Bahamas and I came home and recreated it,it's as good as I had there!

Ingredients For avocado,citrus & shrimp salad

1/3 c cups lemon juice
-
1/3 c sugar
-
1 t. liquid hot sauce
-
2 garlic cloves,minced
-
salt
-
2/3 c olive oil
-
1/2 t. cayenne pepper
-
bay leaves
-
1 1/2 lbs. small shrimp,peeled and deveined
-
3/4 c c red bell peppers,diced
-
3/4 c green onions, thinly sliced
-
1/3 c cilantro,chopped
-
2 oranges,cut in sections
-
1 grapefruit,cut in sections
How To Make avocado,citrus & shrimp salad

1Whisk together lemon juice, sugar, hot sauce, garlic and 1 teaspoon salt. Whisk in oil; reserve. Stir 2 tablespoons salt, cayenne pepper and bay leaves into 1-1/2 gallons water. Bring to a boil; simmer 5 minutes. Add the shrimp. Cook shrimp until just pink and opaque, about 1 minute. Spread on a sheet pan to cool. Chill. Just before serving,toss shrimp with 1-3/4 cups reserved lemon dressing. Fold in bell pepper, onion and cilantro.
