This is a wonderful salad to serve at Thanksgiving or Christmas. It goes so well with Chicken Casserole dishes.

Ingredients For autumn apple salad

  • 1 can
    20 oz crushed pineapple w/ juice
  • 2/3 c
    white sugar
  • 1 pkg
    3 oz lemon jello
  • 1 pkg
    8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 c
    apples, diced real fine
  • 1 c
    toasted pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    fresh celery, finely chopped
  • 1
    8 oz carton cool whip

How To Make autumn apple salad

  • 1
    In a heavy sauce pan, boil pineapple and sugar for 3 minutes, turn off heat and add Jello, stir until Jello is dissolved. Add the softened cream cheese, stir until smooth, set aside for 30 minutes. Add: apples, pecans and cool whip. Fold to mix well and pour into a 9x13x2 glass pan; chill for 3 hours.
