Recently, we had dinner at a little country restaurant. They served a delicious apple salad. I couldn’t fine anything that suited on the web so I had a try at making it myself. I think I would like the pecans in it, but hubby doesn’t like nuts in salads. Oh well.

Ingredients For apple salad

1apples, granny smith

2fuji apples

juice from 1/2 lemon

1 cpineapple tidbits, drained (save juice)

1/2 craisins

1 cchopped pecans or dried cranberries (optional)
- FOR DRESSING:

3 Tbspmayonnaise

1 Tbsppineapple juice

1 tspcinnamon

1 dashnutmeg
-
1/2 tspvanilla (optional)
How To Make apple salad

1Chop apples and mix with lemon juice.

2Add pineapple and raisins.

3Add pecans or cranberries if desired

4Mix mayonnaise, pineapple juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add vanilla if desired.

5Mix fruit and dressing. Store in a covered container. Refrigerate a couple of hours before serving.
