Ingredients For apple salad

1/2 csugar
-
8 ozcrushed pineapple, drained - reserve juice

1 Tbspflour
-
1egg
-
2 Tbspapple cider vinegar

8 ozfrozen whipped topping, thawed

1/2 ccoarse chopped walnuts

4 mdgranny smith apples, pared and chopped
How To Make apple salad

1In small saucepan, mix sugar, pineapple juice, flour, and apple cider vinegar, over low-medium heat, stirring often.

2In bowl, beat egg. Add a bit of the mixture in the saucepan to the beaten egg to temper it. Pour egg into mixture in saucepan, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat.

3Pour the mixture from the saucepan into bowl and refrigerate until cool.

4When cool, fold in the container of whipped topping, nuts and the apples. You may sprinkle addtional nuts on top, if you wish.
