Ingredients For a is for apple salad

1/2 csugar

2 Tbspcornstarch

1 1/4 corange juice

1/2 tsporange extract

1 canpineapple tidbits (20 ounce can), drained

1 canmanderin oranges,(11 ounce can) drained

1medium tart green apple, chopped

1medium red apple, chopped

1 ceach seedless red and green grapes, halved
How To Make a is for apple salad

1In a small saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in orange juice until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in orange extract. Cool.

2In a large serving bowl, combine the pineapple, oranges, apples and grapes. Add dressing; stir gently. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Yield: 6 servings.

3Note: Before serving, I add some chopped pecans and sliced bananas. A sprinkle of coconut and a few maraschino cheeries over the top is pretty.
