Ingredients For a good apple salad

  • 1
    head of iceburg lettuce
  • 2
    breaburn or macintosh apples, pared, cored and diced
  • 1/2 c
    seedless raisins
  • 1/4 c
    red onion, thinnly sliced and chopped
  • 1/2 c
    monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 c
    green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 2 Tbsp
    salad dressing or mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp
    prepared yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar (or you can use 1 packet sugar substitute)
  • 4 Tbsp
    milk

How To Make a good apple salad

  • 1
    In a bowl mix together: lettuce, apples, raisins, onion, cheese. and green bell pepper.
  • 2
    In a separate bowl mix well together: salad dressing, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and milk.
  • 3
    Combine dressing with apple mixture and refrigerate until ready to serve. Do not hold longer than 3 hours after dressing is added.
