I wanted to do more than just a pea salad. I added chicken, bacon, and cheese, to make it more of a dinner. We both loved it. Hubby says to make it again.

Ingredients For loaded tasty pea salad

  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt with parsley
  • 1/2 md
    red onion, minced
  • 2 bag
    frozen peas, thawed (10 oz each)
  • 1/2 md
    any color bell pepper, diced
  • 3 stalk
    celery, diced
  • 1 lb
    chicken breast, diced
  • 2 c
    Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 4 lg
    eggs, hard boiled and cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 dash
    cayenne pepper

How To Make loaded tasty pea salad

    In a large resealable bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and garlic salt with parsley. Whisk until blended; set aside.

    Add the onion, peas, bell pepper, and celery and stir. Add diced chicken and the cheese and stir until well blended.

    Let chill for two hours before serving. Top with hard boiled egg pieces and cayenne pepper.
