I love chicken salad cold-when i tried this recipe WOW. I prepare this dish in the fall ( my favorite season). This dish is good just by itself. Enjoy

Ingredients For hot chicken salad

  • 6
    chicken breast/cooked and diced
  • 3 c.
    chopped celery (optional)
  • 1 c.
    sharp cheese, grated
  • 1 sm
    can mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 sm
    can water chestnuts
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken and broccoli soup, undiluted
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated onion
  • 2 Tbsp
    onion
  • 1 c.
    hellman's mayonnaise
  • 1 md
    bag potato chips

How To Make hot chicken salad

    mix all above ingreds., well (except chips). Bake in 9x13 pan for 45 mins., @ 350, covered ( I use foil)

    remove cover and sprinkle top with crushed potato chips. Return to oven and bake for abt. 15 mins. more.
  • 3
    cream of chicken soup will work also with this if you don't like broccoli. best eaten hot with buttered rolls!!!
