Boy do I remember this salad. It's not anything fancy, but it had a lot of flavor. Mom made this any time that we had company come over. She took it to pot luck at worship services or anytime there was a crowd. A real crowd pleaser.

Ingredients For granny ruth's taco salad

    head shredded lettuce
  • 2 md
    tomatoes chopped
  • 1 md
    onion chopped fine
  • 1 can
    black olives drained
  • 1 can
    kidney beans drained
  • 1 lb
    cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 lb
    bag of freto corn chips
  • 1 (16 oz.) jar
    catalina salad dressing
  • 2
    chicken breast cooked

How To Make granny ruth's taco salad

    Cook chicken breasts on grill until done ,but not over done. Set aside to cool.

    Prepare your lettuce, tomatoes, onion,olives, beans, and cheese.

    Toss together the first six ingredients.

    Last toss in the shredded chicken, corn chips and salad dressing last of all.

    Toss all together and serve immediately.
