My mom has made this taco salad since I was a little girl. It is always the first to go at potlucks, family reunions or any gathering. It disappears fast when I make it for my family's dinner and my kids request for their birthday dinners too. It's a favorite all the way around and everyone is surprised the recipe is so easy.

Ingredients For taco salad

1 lbground beef
-
2 tspchili powder
-
1 tspground cumin
-
1 tspgarlic powder

1medium head of iceburg or romaine lettuce

2tomatoes, diced

1 canchili beans, drained
-
1/2sweet onion, diced
-
2 ccheddar or mexican cheese, shredded
-
1 bagnacho cheese tortilla chips
- DRESSING
-
1 1/2 creal mayonnaise
-
3/4 cketchup
-
1 pkgtaco seasoning mix
-
1/3 cbbq sauce
How To Make taco salad

1Brown ground beef sprinkled with chili powder, cumin and garlic powder in a medium skillet. Drain and season to taste with salt and pepper

2In a large bowl cut or tear lettuce into bite-size pieces. Add onions, tomatoes, beans and shredded cheese. Toss until evenly distributed. Add ground beef and toss again.

3Crunch up three cups of nacho cheese chips and add to the salad mixture. Add dressing and toss. Serve immediately with remaining chips on the side.

4To make the dressing: mix all dressing ingredients together stir until evenly distributed.
