My Mom made this recipe often. She worked at O.U. food an nutrition.department. She thought people to cook food on a budget that was good and nutritious This is one of her recipes that I made my way.

1 lblean ground beef

1 pkgtaco seasoning
-
2/3 cwater
-
1head iceburg lettuce chopped into bite size pieces

1red bell pepper chopped
-
1green bell pepper chopped
-
1/2 csliced blacj olives
-
1 canred kidney beans drained and rinsed

1 cdiced tomatoes
-
1/4 cgreen onions sliced thin

1 cshredded cheddar cheese

1 -10 ozbag corn chips or nocho doretoes

1=16 ozcatalina dressing

How To Make mom's taco salad as done by eddie

1Brown ground beef until no pink remains drain any fat.

2Stir in the taco season packet and add water , simmer until thickens about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.

3In a large bowl combine lettuce, peppers, black olives pinto beans or red kidney beans tomatoes and onions.

4Top with seasoning and cooled ground beef.

5Slightly crush the chips and sprinkle on top drizzle with Catalina dressing and toss to coat evenly.

6Garnish with sour cream and additional green onions.

7Serve Immediately.
