Ingredients For cold steak salad

1 lbbeef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes

salt and pepper to taste

1/3 cfresh dill sprigs

1/3 cchopped parsley

6shallots, chopped
-
2 1/4 cwine vinegar
- DRESSING INGREDIENTS

2 tspdijon mustard

2 csalad dressing, recipe below
-
2 Tbspchopped parsley
-
2 Tbspchopped chives or scallions

1 ptcherry tomatoes
-
1 cfinely chopped celery
-
9 ozfrozen artichoke hearts, cooked and cooled

3/4 lbmushrooms, sliced

1/2 cbutter
-
1/3 tsphot sauce
How To Make cold steak salad

1DRESSING: Combine all ingredients in a glass jar and shake.

2SALAD:In large skillet over high heat, saute meat in butter, a few cubes at a time until browned on all sides. Transfer to a large bowl and cool.

3Quickly saute mushrooms in remaining butter and add to meat.

4Add artichoke hearts, celery, tomatoes, chives and parsley.

5Mix lightly.

6Mix dressing with mustard.

7Pour over salad, toss, cover and marinate overnight.
