Ree's Pumpkin Whoopie Pies Have A Marshmallow Creme Filling

3/4 tsp. kosher salt
1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 c. packed dark brown sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. canned pure pumpkin puree
1 large egg
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
2 sticks salted butter, at room temperature 
1 c. powdered sugar, plus more for dusting
1 8-ounce jar marshmallow creme
