6 oz. chocolate chips, fair trade (I do 3 oz. each of dark and milk chocolate, but you can do whatever you like! Just another reason to get a kitchen scale if you don’t have one.)

1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter

3/4 cup rapadura sugar (like this)

1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

2 eggs
•
3/4 cup whole wheat or spelt flour (I choose either sprouted or freshly ground)

1/4 tsp real salt

For the cream cheese top:

1 8oz. package of organic cream cheese, room temperature
