INGREDIENTS
Pumpkin Caramel Torte
1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup pumpkin puree
4 whole eggs + 4 egg whites, divided (reserve 4 egg yolks for caramel buttercream)
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Caramel Silk Buttercream and Caramel Sauce
2 eggs + 4 egg yolks
2-1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup Water
3 tablespoons corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Wilton Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream, warmed slightly
2 cups (4 sticks) butter, softened and cut into chunks
Candied Pecans
1/2 cup pecan halves
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
