INGREDIENTS
6 ounces thick-cut bacon
1 teaspoon light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons crème fraîche or sour cream
2 tablespoons buttermilk
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
20 medium scallions (about 12 ounces)
3 hearts of romaine lettuce (about 12 ounce)
10 ounces fresh green peas
