4 cups 1-inch cubes day-old white bread
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup honey
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon fresh grated or ground nutmeg.
1 to 2 pears (enough for 1 cup peeled and diced)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
1 1/2 cups half-and-half
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
