1 lbground beef

1 lbpork sausage

1green bell pepper, chopped

1onion, chopped

salt and pepper

1 jarpizza sauce (14 oz)

1 tspItalian seasoning

1/2 tspdried basil
-
1loaf Italian bread
-
1 pkgsliced pepperoni

2 cshredded mozzarella cheese
How To Make super-size stromboli sandwich

1Preheat oven to 350 F. Fry ground beef, sausage, bell pepper, onion, salt, and pepper until browned; drain well.

2Add pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, and basil. Stir to coat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

3Split Italian bread in half lengthwise. Place on a large sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Place a layer of pepperoni on the bottom half of the bread.

4Add a layer of the meat mixture.

5Sprinkle the top with the mozzarella cheese.

6Place top half of bread on the layers.

7Wrap foil tightly around the sandwich. Bake 15 minutes.

8Cut into 6 pieces and serve hot.
