I make this quite often at my house, and it's always a BIG hit! There are 9 people that live here, and 5 of them are children who love this! I usually double all the ingredients except the meat and make 2 casseroles very cheap! =) I hope you enjoy my concoction of burgery goodness as much as my kids do!

This easy casserole recipe was like a cheeseburger deluxe. We love the super cheesiness of the dish and found ourselves going back for seconds and thirds. It'll be a huge hit with kids (it's so easy to make they can help in the kitchen). It has all the flavors of cheeseburgers with the bread being nicely toasted just right. So good!

Ingredients For "cheeseburger" casserole
- INGREDIENTS MIXED WITH MEAT

1 lbground meat
-
1 Tbspbeef bouillon, canned
-
2-3 TbspWorcestershire sauce
-
1 tspyellow mustard
-
3 tspketchup
-
1/2 tspgarlic powder
-
1/2 tsponion powder
-
1 Tbspseasoned salt (Lawry's)
- SEPARATE LAYERS OF THE CASSEROLE

1 boxmacaroni and cheese
-
6 slicebread
-
2 ccheddar cheese, shredded
-
1/2 smonion, minced
-
3 lgpickles
How To Make "cheeseburger" casserole

1Pre-Heat the oven to 440 degrees. Butter your 6 slices of bread.

2Put them butter-side down in an ungreased baking dish. (I use the long Pyrex dish.)

3Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the bread.

4Prepare the box of mac 'n' cheese per package directions. During this time you can also start on the meat.

5Combine all the "Ingredients mixed with meat" in a large skillet.

6Brown the meat until it is almost done. There should still be a few pieces of meat that are not cooked all the way. (Don't worry, they will cook the rest of the way in the oven.)

7Now the mac 'n' cheese should be done and needs to be poured onto the cheesed bread.

8Then pour the meat onto the mac 'n' cheese.

9Sprinkle the other cup of shredded cheese on top of the meat.

10Then sprinkle the pickles and onions on top.

11Last you get your ketchup bottle and squeeze "zig-zags" of ketchup on top of the casserole.

12Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is all melted and the meat is all done.
