grandma helen's oatmeal cookies
I had asked my grandmother for some cookie recipes a while back and she very kindly included her oatmeal cookie recipe which I have always loved. I really dislike oatmeal cookies with cinnamon and nutmeg, etc. in them so I was thrilled to get this recipe. It can be tailored to your tastes as far as if you prefer nuts or chocolate chips or raisins or whatever!
Blue Ribbon Recipe
Buttery and rich, this old-fashioned oatmeal cookie is fantastic. They're crunchy and crisp around the edges and chewy in the middle. Coconut adds tons of flavor and texture. It's what makes this different from other oatmeal cookies. We opted to add a 12oz bag of chocolate chips along with the coconut and loved these. If you love oatmeal cookies, give these a try. We've been sneaking "just one" all day!
