Ingredients For butter pecan cake

2 2/3 cchopped pecans

2 csugar

3 call-purpose flour

1/2 tspsalt

2 tspvanilla extract

1 1/4 csoftened butter

4eggs

2 tspbaking powder

1 cmilk
- FROSTING

1 cbutter
-
8 - 8 1/2 cconfectioners' sugar

1 canevaporated milk (5 oz)

2 tspvanilla extract

remaining pecans
How To Make butter pecan cake

1Place pecans and 1/4 cup butter in a baking pan. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes stirring often.

2Cream sugar and remaining butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to cream mixture, alternating with milk. Stir in vanilla and 1 1/3 cups of toasted pecans.

4Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9' cake pans. Bake at 350 for 18-22 mins. Remove from pans.

5FROSTING: Cream butter and sugar. Add milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Stir in remaining pecans.

6Spread frosting between layers as well as on top and sides.
