This is to save all those small pieces of bar soap which I prefer over the liquid soaps.I have 4 daughters and the soap pieces would go flying across the bath tub during bath time so I made them each their own color and everyone was happy. That was 40 years ago and we still use them.

How To Make soap saver

You can be real creative with this.It is a little purse with a draw string that holds the soap and is a wash cloth at the same time. Its always clean and just hangs in the shower or sets on the shelf.

I do the first row with a single crochet to be sure and make 4 corners. The next 3 rows I do double or half double crochet.I then lay the soap on the square and fold it over to be sure the soap fits smugly. If you are a loose crocheter it may take fewer rows.

Ending at a corner Chain stitch til the chain will go 3/4ths. the way around the square. Pull the yarn 4 inches through the last stitch and cut off.Weave the chain through the last row of stitches and tie off at the base of the last stitches. Be sure you can pull the chain tight to draw up like a pouch.

Now add the soap and add some water and move the yarn around to get suds. When your soap is almost gone just slide a new bar on top and no more small pieces
