Safe for the environment and safe for you and your family, this all in one, handy dandy home cleaning recipe will be used over and over again. It’s a great basic cleanser that can be made in advance and it tackles many jobs. The liquid Castile, baking soda, and vinegar are the workhorses and the tea tree extract and witch hazel are light antiseptics providing grease cutting and antibacterial properties without leaving a residue. If you like, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to create your “clean” smell. Source: Unknown

Ingredients For all purpose cleaner

  • 2 oz water
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 4 oz. liquid castile (or 4 oz homemade glycerin soap cleanser (below
  • 1 tsp. tea tree extract or tincture
  • 2 oz. witch hazel
  • 2 oz vinegar

How To Make all purpose cleaner

    Mix all together. Pour into a spray bottle. Keep in a cool place. Label the bottle with name and make date. Shelf life: 6 months

    Here’s an alternative for the liquid castile in the all-purpose cleanser recipe if you cannot find liquid Castile or it is too expensive in your area. Purchase a four oz. glycerin soap bar. Melt it on the stove top over low heat. Don’t let it boil. When melted, stir in an equal amount of water and stir til cool. Put in a bottle labeled with name and make date. Shelf life: 12 months
