snack bowls from old phonograph records

These are great for a party. Of course, phonograph records are getting pricey so you might want to dig around in your attic or basement for one or two that you've saved from back in "the good ole days". Some of you may have never seen one of these old-fashioned doo-dads with the hole in the middle. These days, they're a bit of a conversation starter and everyone wants to see the label. I probably don't need to mention this for obvious reasons, but be sure to use only dry snacks like popcorn, chips or pretzels. :-)

How To Make snack bowls from old phonograph records
-
1Wash and dry an old plastic phonograph record, but be careful to keep the label on. Warm oven to 200 degrees. Center a large record on top of an inverted round bowl. Place in oven. After a few minutes the record will droop down around the sides of the bowl. At that time, remove it from the oven and quickly shape the edges into scallops. Let it cool.
