When I was young, they didn't have convenient things like PAM and Bakers Joy. I remembered my Gran making something that she used all the time to grease pans, casserole dishes etc. and went searching the Net for it. I've used many a can of the above mentioned, but no more! Now I make my own. It works on cookie scoops and especially well on Bundt Pans.

Ingredients For pan-ease

1/3 call purpose flour, sifted

1/3 cvegetable oil

1/3 cvegetable shortening (i use crisco butter flavored)
How To Make pan-ease

1Put the three in a jar that has a lid. Mix together. Melting the shortening,adding the oil, then sifting the flour to it as you stir...No lumps...

2Use instead of any nonstick sprays for anthing you would normally oil/flour. Just apply with a paper towel or fingers to surface of cooking utensil.

3Makes 1 cup. Store in the refrigerator. If it sets up too thick, 10sec or LESS will have it ready. I use a pastry brush.
