I have hundreds of cookbooks and read them cover to cover. There are always recipes that stand out to me that I want to try. In order to not lose track of those great meal ideas, here is my trick!

Ingredients For handy recipe index

  • fabulous cook book
  • library pocket, decorative or plain
  • several index cards
  • glue stick

How To Make handy recipe index

    Inside the front cover of each cook book, I stick a library pocket. In the pocket is an index card on which I record the name and page number of any recipes I want to try. I sometimes add another card with notes and comments about the recipes that I have tried from the book.
