I got this recipe from http://www.petdiabetes.com/recipes.html. I haven't tried it yet. I have no experience w/diabetic dogs. I just looked this up because someone was looking for treats for their diabetic dog.

Ingredients For liver snaps for diabetic dogs

  • 1 lb
    calf liver
  • 1/4 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1
    egg

How To Make liver snaps for diabetic dogs

  • 1
    1 pound calf liver blended in food processor with 1/4 cup whole wheat flour and one egg
  • 2
    Spread on cookie sheet and cooked at 350 for 15 minutes
  • 3
    Cool and cut with pizza cutter. Store in refrigerator. I've made other liver brownie treats and they froze nicely. I do not know if freezing would make any difference when feeding this to a diabetic dog. Please see the Notes section above to see the site I got this recipe from.
