1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar
•
6 tsp. cinnamon (I use more)

3/8 tsp. salt
•
20 tbls. butter (melted)

4-1/4 cups cake flour
•
Mi together the sugars, cinnamon, salt and melted butter in a medium bowl to combine. Add flour and stir with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon until mixture resembles thick, cohesive dough; set aside to cool to room temp, 10 to 15 minutes.

3-3/4 cups cake flour
•
1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
•
1 tsp baking soda
•
1 tsp salt
•
18 tbls. butter (cut up and softened)
•
3 large eggs
•
3 egg yolks
•
3 tsps. vanilla
•
1 cup buttermilk
•
Confectioners' sugar for dusting
