½ cup (120 ml) pure maple syrup

¼ cup (60 ml) orange juice
•
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
•
1 tablespoon (15 ml) hickory-flavored liquid smoke
•
Cut the tofu into 14 thin strips about ¼ inch (6 mm) thick.
