Ingredients For triple parmesan duck casserole

    shaved Parmesan cheese
  • 16 oz
    dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 5
    duck breasts(skin-on), sliced thick
  • 2 Tbsp
    creole seasoning
  • 2 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    poultry seasoning mixed with brown sugar
  • 1 lg
    red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 md
    yellow onion, peeled and chopped
  • 6 Tbsp
    grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1 c
    cold heavy cream
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese,softened
  • 1 c
    shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 c
    Panko bread crumbs

How To Make triple parmesan duck casserole

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add shaved Parmesan cheese.

    Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 10 to 12 minutes; drain and set aside.

    Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium heat. Add sliced duck breasts and saute for 6 minutes or until duck are tender. Season with creole seasoning, black pepper, and poultry seasoning/brown sugar.

    Stir in diced red bell peppers and chopped yellow onion. Remove from heat. Add 3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese; mix well and set aside.

    Heat margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Combine heavy cream, milk, cream cheese, shredded parmesan cheese, and 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese. Stir together and let it simmer for 8 minutes until blended and thickened.

    Add duck mixture and cooked macaroni; mix well until combined. Remove from heat.

    Pour into a prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and remaining grated Parmesan cheese on top.
