Not wanting to cook a whole turkey for just the 2 of us, I came across this recipe! It is wonderful and cooked in a crockpot.

Ingredients For turkey in a pot

  • 4 lb
    boneless turkey breast
  • 1 can
    16-oz. whole cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    apple juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 2 clove
    garlic,minced
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp
    cloves, ground
  • 1/4 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • THICKENING :
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    water

How To Make turkey in a pot

    In a 5 quart crock pot place turkey breast, skin side up. Combine the next 9 ingredients and pour over the turkey. Place cover on and cook about 6 hours on low.

    Remove turkey to plate for slicing. Strain the juice into a saucepan. In a small bowl combine flour and water until smooth. Slowly whisk into juice in saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly until thickened. Serve with sliced turkey.
