These are fantastic burgers, and I tend to eat them without a bun. You, however, can if you choose. The salsa and corn on top are a nice cool down for the jalapeno in the burger!

Ingredients For turkey cornmeal burgers with salsa

1 1/4 lbground turkey

2 Tbspcornmeal

2 tspground cumin

2 tspchili powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tsppepper

1 Tbsplime juice

1egg white
-
1jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped

1 Tbspoil

1 ccooked frozen whole corn, drained

1/2-3/4 csalsa or picante sauce
How To Make turkey cornmeal burgers with salsa

1In med bowl combine turkey, cornmeal, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, lime juice, egg white and jalapeno; mix lightly. Shape into 5 patties, 1/2" thick. Heat oil in large skillet over med heat until oil sizzles, about 1 min. Add turkey patties. Cook 3-5 min on each side or until browned and no longer pink in the center. Meanwhile, in small saucepan combine and heat corn and salsa. Serve on top of turkey burgers.
