Ingredients For turkey breast with cranberry gravy in a crock pot

  • 4 to 5 lb
    turkey breast
  • 1 md
    medium yellow onion, diced
  • 16 oz
    can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/3 c
    light beer or apple cider
  • 1/3 c
    fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    each of dried thyme,chili powder and cilantro leaves(chopped fine)
  • 1/4 c
    heinz sweet chili sauce, more or less to taste
  • 2 tsp
    garlic,minced or 1/4 teaspoon powdered
  • 1/4 tsp
    each of crushed rosemary, pepper and seasoned salt
  • zest
    of 1 orange for the gravy

How To Make turkey breast with cranberry gravy in a crock pot

    Spray crock pot well with cooking spray, and put the onions in the bottom. Put the turkey breast on top of the onions.

    In a medium bowl combine all remaining ingredients, blending together to a nice thick sauce. Pour over turkey breast.

    Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours, time depends on your crock pot. For the gravy: After removing turkey breast , skim off any grease; if too thin bring sauce in pot to a boil and add orange zest and a bit of corn starch mixed with a little water and cook to desired thickness.
