turkey and pasta in mushroom asiago sauce
I just threw this together with what I had in the house. I liked it so much, I decided to make a recipe out of it!

Ingredients For turkey and pasta in mushroom asiago sauce

2 ccooked turkey, cut into bite size pieces

1 box(8 oz.) rotini pasta

1 Tbspbutter

1 Tbspolive oil

16 ozmushrooms, cleaned and sliced

1 cskim milk
-
1 cfat free half & half
-
1 cchicken or turkey broth
-
1 tspsweet paprika
-
1 tspgarlic powder
-
1/2 cgrated asiago cheese
-
salt and ground pepper to taste
-
fresh chopped parsley (optional)
-
extra grated asiago cheese (optional)

1/3 call purpose flour
How To Make turkey and pasta in mushroom asiago sauce

1Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

2While pasta is cooking, melt butter with olive oil in a deep skillet. Sautee Mushrooms until softened.

3Pour broth into mushrooms.

4Mix together milk and flour until flour is smooth and incorporated. Pour milk mixture into skillet, stirring constantly.

5Bring to a simmer and continue to stir until starting to thicken. Add in cheese, paprika and garlic powder. Stir until cheese is melted and blended into sauce.

6Salt and pepper to taste.

7Stir in pasta and turkey, mix until well combined.

8Spoon into a pasta bowl and sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra asiago cheese if desired.
