Ingredients For spicy turkey casserole

  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 lb
    turkey breast or chicken cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 2
    spicy turkey or chicken sausages cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 c
    diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 c
    sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 1
    jalapeno pepper seeded and minced(optional)
  • 1/2 c
    fat free low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 can
    14 ounce no salt added diced tomatos
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp
    black paper
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 c
    cooked yolk free egg noodles
  • 6 Tbsp
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    coarse plain dry bread crumbs

How To Make spicy turkey casserole

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat, Add turkey and sausage. Cook and stir 2 minutes.

    Add bell pepper,mushrooms,onion,jalapeno if desired and cook 5 more minutes. Add chicken broth cook 1 minute,scraping up any browned bits from bottom of skillet. Add tomatoes, seasonings and noodles.

    Spoon turkey mixture into shallow 10inch round baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and bread crumbs. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until mixture is hot and bread crumbs are golden brown.
