    vegetable oil
  • 3/4 lb
    ground turkey breast
  • 1 lg
    onion, 1 cup chopped
  • 2 can
    diced tomatoes, undrained (14 1/2 ounce can)
  • 1 can
    chili beans (15-16 oz)
  • 1 can
    old el paso chopped green chilies, drained (4 1/2 oz)
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    cooked brown rice

How To Make slow cooker turkey and brown rice chili

    In 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook turkey and onion in oil 8 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until turkey is no longer pink; drain.

    In 3- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix turkey mixture and remaining ingredients except rice.

    Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.

    Stir in rice. Increase heat setting to High. Cover; cook about 15 minutes or until rice is hot.
