Ingredients For joe's homemade chili

  • 2 lb
    ground turkey
  • 2 md
    zucchini, halved and sliced
  • 1 md
    red pepper, cored and diced
  • 1 md
    green pepper, cored and diced
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 can
    (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 can
    (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 can
    (15 oz) garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can
    (28 oz) diced tomatoes, un-drained
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • fresh ground pepper
  • sea salt to taste

How To Make joe's homemade chili

  • 1
    In large pot brown turkey with onions and drain excess fat.

    Place vegetables, half the garlic and oil in pot and saute until tender. Add beans, and tomatoes.

    Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Add spices and the rest of the garlic; mix well. Simmer for five more minutes. Add pepper and sea salt to taste

    NOTES: Freezed great in a Tupperware container. For a vegetarian variety simply take out the ground turkey.

    Make a complete plate with a piece of cornbread.
