diane's stuffed bell peppers

i knew there was a reason i saved several of the huge bell peppers and froze them whole when i got the bushel basket of them last fall.....i had no rice like other recipes call for so i came up with this...cookin it for dinner tonight

Ingredients For diane's stuffed bell peppers

  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 1/2 md
    red onion,chopped good
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 c
    warm water
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 3 slice
    honey wheat bread[i used 2 heels,broken into very small pieces]
  • 2 lg
    eggs,
  • 1 can
    whole kernel corn
  • 1 Tbsp
    horseradish
  • 1 tsp
    dried parsley
  • 2 lg
    green bell peppers
  • 2 slice
    fav cheese

How To Make diane's stuffed bell peppers

    if ground turkey frozen remove from freezer night before[but not bell peppers...keep them froze til ya fill them] several hrs before cookin mix stuff together

    in lg bowl mix everything except peppers and cheese gentley stuff peppers in9 in round cake pan sprayed with non stick cookin spray put remaining meat.. arrange both peppers into pan havin meat around both... put in fridge at least 1 hr up to 4 hrs...preheat oven to 375 place pan in oven bake 1 hr and 15 min... remove from oven add cheese slice to each pepper put back in oven for bout 5 min til cheese melts good...
