Ingredients For dads healthy stuffed cabbage

    green cabbage, cored
  • 1
    28 oz can crushed tomatoes w/ juice
  • 3 Tbsp
    light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 lb
    ground turkey breast
  • 1 c
    cooked white or brown rice
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper

How To Make dads healthy stuffed cabbage

    Heat oven to 350. Spray a 9" x 13" baking dish w/ cooking spray. In lg pot, bring 1" water to a boil over high heat. Place cabbage in water. Cover, reduce heat to low. Steam for about 20 mins. Drain, cool, and set aside.

    In bowl, combine tomatoes w/ juice, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Mix well. In lg bowl, combine ground turkey breast, rice, onion, egg, salt, pepper and 2 tbs tomato mix. Mix well. Place 1 cup tomato mixin bottom of baking dish.

    Place 1 leaf of cabbage on work surface. Place 1-1/4 cups turkey mix in center of leaf. starting at one end, roll up, folding over sides. Roll loosely. Place seam side down in baking dish. Repeat w/ remaining cabbage leaves. Spoon remaining toamto mix over cabbage rolls. Cover w/ foil and bake 1-1/4 hrs. Uncover, bake additional 10 mins.
