This chili is so easy and delicious - my husband requests it once a week in the winter! It's relatively healthy and makes for great leftovers! We add a little extra red crushed pepper for a great KICK!

Ingredients For crockpot black bean chili

1 Tbspolive oil

1 mdonion, diced

2 clovegarlic, minced

1+ lbground turkey

3 - 15 ozcans of reduced sodium black beans, undrained

28 ozcan crushed tomatoes

1 cangreen beans, drained

2 Tbspchili powder
-
1 Tbspdried oregano
-
1 Tbspdried basil leaves

1 Tbspred wine vinegar
-
1-2 Tbspcrushed red pepper flakes
How To Make crockpot black bean chili

1Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Cook onion and garlic until the onions are just slightly translucent. Add the turkey and cook, stirring until meat is browned.

2While the meat is cooking, mix black beans, green beans, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, basil, red crushed pepper flakes (to your liking) and vinegar into the crock pot. Once the meat is finished browning, add the meat, onions and garlic. Mix well.

3Cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4 hours. Serve with cornbread.
