We make this every year at Thanksgiving time. My whole family looks forward to it. It is so simple and so good.

Ingredients For creamed turkey & toast

2 cmilk
-
4 Tbspbutter or margarine

4 Tbspflour
-
1 tspsalt
-
1 tsppepper (i use white pepper, but black is fine)

2/3 cchicken or turkey stock
-
5-6 ccooked turkey, cut or shredded into bite size peices

12-16 slicetoast
How To Make creamed turkey & toast

1In a large pot, begin heating the milk, margarine and chicken stock over medium heat.

2Start whisking in the flour, eliminating any lumps, and as it comes to a boil, it should thicken.

3Add the salt and pepper, to your taste.

4As it thickens, add the turkey.

5As soon as it is the thickness you like, it is done. If it gets too thick, just add some milk or stock to thin it out.

6We serve over toast, but you could use biscuits or even noodles.

7Also, we have added peas to this on occasion.
