This recipe notes it is SPICY, in caps, so I am sure it must be...I got it out of Barb's recipe box, and she says she thinks it came from her friends Dick & Jan (who she also notes love to cook together).

Ingredients For corn chili for a crowd, barb

  • 1 tsp
    vegetable oil
  • 2 lg
    onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped garlic
  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 2
    28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    19 oz kidney beans, drained
  • 16 oz
    canned corn, drained
  • 2 tsp
    cumin
  • 2 Tbsp
    unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
    corriander
  • 1 lg
    green pepper, slivered

How To Make corn chili for a crowd, barb

  • 1
    Heat oil in heavy bottomed 5 qt pot. Add onion, saute over high heat 2-3 min. Add garlic and turkey, continue 5 min, stir often. Add tomatoes, beans, corn, cocoa, chili powder, coriander, cumin and salt. Mix well. Bring to simmer, cook 10 min longer. Stir in pepper.
